2008-9 Socio-economic survey in Bukavu and Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo
Working with Bureau d'Etudes, de Recherches et de Consulting International, this project involved travelling through seven countries by commercial plane, cargo plane, boat and jeep, working in three languages and completing 500 questionnaires in two locations. The research is a baseline survey for the role of businesses in peace building in these two important Democractic Republic of Congo cities. DRC survey data available, in addition to the socio-economic report on Bukavu and Lubumbashi. USIP composed a report some months later, this can be found here.
